A wordless book about three alert black and white cats, first seen perched on a branch eyeing three goldfish in the waves below. One leaps for the fish; the others follow; and, ironically in the conclusion, the fish escape by leaping up to the branch!!There's humor plus a sort of weird logic to explore in the unexpected reversal, while the Belgian artist's vibrantly handsome illustrations incorporate sly subtleties of character and interpretation that might profitably be discussed. This book would be a great "picture-walk" book, even though there are no words. Children could make up dialogue to go along with the pictures, which would help them grow as writers.… (lisätietoja)
