Faith Bradford created a shadow-box doll house, furnishing it in the style of the early 1900s with period furniture and a family of dolls. In 1951, she gave the house to the Smithsonian along with a notebook with the history of the house and its furnishings. She also wrote a history of the dolls who lived there: Mr. and Mrs. Peer Doll and their children, servants and pets.

This volume gives a room by room description of the house: the doll(s) and pets in each room. Unfortunately the furniture is not explained. And the photographs are in black and white in the text. Only the cover is in color.

This is a charming story of the Doll family and their way of life. The pictures portray the life of a well-to-do family of the era. A joy to read! And, for the miniature enthusiast, a wonderful time looking at all the pictures

This is a whimsical descriptive catalog of the Dolls' House, donated to the Smithsonian by Faith Bradford in the 1970s. Bradford writes a story of the Doll Family (c. 1905) that is both imaginative and informative.
