Gregory Bodenhamer

This is the first parenting book I've read and I found the title as part of a recommended reading list in Lee Carroll's Indigo Children book. I can't say enough about the pragmatic, practical approach in this book. Bodenhamer's focus is on the child's behavior, not the child's personality. He makes it easy to distinguish between establishing rules to control behavior and other parenting 'techniques' which require you to reason, argue, plead with or punish the child in order to accomplish desired behavior. Communication is the focus in this book which means clearly establishing rules, limits and boundaries, and then following-through and consistently enforcing your rules as the key. Short, simple, straight-forward, no-nonsense, and loaded with examples that sound straight out of your own life, I can't recommend this book enough for all parents, not just ones with 'problem' children.… (lisätietoja)
