The Diva of Peddler’s Creek is an additive, entertaining and amazingly fun read!!! I loved the characters, the setting and the story!

I had so much fun reading the story of Taylor Beir and Boyd Doubleday it should be a sin. Their disdain for one another was a hoot and their chemistry for one another was palpable. I have to say that this is one of those stories where I not only loved the main characters, but the secondary characters just as much! Boyd’s mom, Mary is beyond awesome and had me rolling with laughter. She is the old-fashioned and very devoted type of woman who feels a perfect wife is one who can cook, clean, care for the house, husband and children. Now, this may sound hard to swallow, however she is the sweetest, most caring and awesome character! Her personality is one that cannot be touched! Loved her!

The Diva of Peddler’s Creek was one of those books that I could sit down with and easily slip away from the world around me. I loved the style of writing, the wittiness, emotions and the story line. All of the characters were very well developed and alive, allowing me to truly care for them and feel as though I was right there with them. I do have to mention (and warn readers) that there is a lot of mention of food. When I say a lot, I mean a lot! Oh my goodness, seldom does reading a book make me crave food like this one did! With this in mind, I must stick my bottom lip out and pout “Where are the recipes?!?!”. Lol – an awesome addition would be to add these to the back of the book – Doubleday Comforting Corny Corn Muffins, Doubleday Cranberry Creations, Doubleday Tuna Delight, Doubleday Seafood Supreme Saucilicious Pizza and Doubleday Double-Almond Brickle Caramel Cookies anyone? Hmm-mmm – rumbling in the tummy going on.

I loved the push and pull of the relationship between Taylor and Boyd. They hate each other one minute and the next minute have visions of wrapping each other’s body around the other person. Then back to hating each other. This creates a lovely tension that adds some sizzle to the story. Speaking of sizzle, The Diva of Peddler’s Creek is a very cleanly written story and though there is that lovely and wonderful tension, there is no actual sex scenes per se. So those who like a cleaner romance will love this one.

After reading The Diva of Peddler’s Creek, I simply cannot wait to read more by Ava Bleu! What an amazing talent! Humor and emotion rolled into one delicious package is a quick way that I would sum up this book. I highly recommend this one!… (lisätietoja)
