Great book. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this work of historical fiction. I am somewhat familiar with the Crusades and this book portrayed the events accurately enough. Ramiro grew on me as the story progressed and I was hoping his mission would be successful. From the monastery in Cluny Ramiro travels across Byzantium, through Muslim and Christian lands on his quest to fulfill his mission. The twisted road and the hardships Ramiro had to endure in order to reach Jerusalem were daunting. But through perseverance and some luck he finally made it to the Holy Land.… (lisätietoja)
