Joan Bellamy

Absolutely outstanding! I've read Taylor's novel, her collection of feminist essays, and her Alpine travelogue, as well as Joan Stevens's collection of rel="nofollow" target="_top">Taylor's letters, but I only just recently discovered this biography by Joan Bellamy. It's not a work that's going to be of much interest to anyone other than a very devoted Brontëan, but it represents an excellent research effort of a rather obscure subject and includes very well thought-out analysis of Taylor's feminist views and their literary expression in Taylor's novel – a novel which very much reminds me of The Odd Women but which I personally prefer to George Gissing.… (lisätietoja)
