The true beauty of this book is in the language. The characters use imaginative descriptions to describe themselves. "I am mixed with all kinds of goodies like chocolate chunks and marshmallow delights." The illustrations are also beautifully done in vivid colors which add to the text. I really enjoyed this book and believe that all children who live in more than one home should read this book. The story tells the perspective from twin siblings, Jay and Nia, and mom and dad. While the children divide their time between living in two different homes, they are always reminded that their parents love them despite the fact that they do not live together. The author included simple rhymes on each page in order to have a smooth pace as you read. I enjoyed that the author included Nia getting questioned while at school from a friend "you don't live with both your mom and dad?" because, as a child of divorced parents, I know how frustrating and annoying that can be to explain to others. I enjoyed the theme of the book that expressed to children, that even if you live in multiple homes love is love and family is family.… (lisätietoja)
