What I think you should know:
A Heart for News by Susan K. Beatty is the fourth book in the Suamalie Islands series. The series is Contemporary Christian Fiction set on a fictional set of Islands in the Pacific. The series is written by several authors with stories that have the common connection of the Islands. In this book we meet Island Native Margo Durand and visitor Steve Grayson.

What I think about this book:
This was such a fun book, I really enjoyed getting to know Margo, a reporter on the Island of Laumua. It was interesting to read about how her father ran the newspaper, in contrast to how Margo wanted to develop the newspaper. It was also fun to watch Margo develop a relationship with Steve. I appreciate how they worked through their differences. This book wasn’t all fluff, it had mystery and danger woven throughout!
This was a great romantic suspense, I can’t wait to see what happens next on the Islands!

A Heart for News by Susan K. Beatty is a Christian Contemporary Romance in the Suamalie Islands series. Margo Durand puts her whole self into working for her parents’ newspaper. But when professional race car driver Steve Grayson arrives on the island, she is charged with being a tour guide.

Steve Grayson comes to the islands to finish recuperating. As someone who has no tolerance for newspaper reporters, Margo has to hide the truth from him about her real profession.

With corrupt politicians, a storm, and other interesting activities and incidents, this book is the perfect summer read. The “appearance” of one of my favorite authors of all time adds the icing on this spell-binding “cake” of a book.

So if you enjoy Christian Contemporary Romances, check out A Heart for News by Susan K. Beatty for yourself. I definitely recommend it.

I love taking another vacation to the islands where peace and hope are found. Margo is a great character who strives to do everything in excellence when it comes to work on her family’s newspaper. I like the old time feel of the newspaper even though Margo would like to see it updated a bit. She can’t convince her father to step into the twenty-first century just yet.

Sometimes you have to leave everything behind and just take a break to breathe. Steve is still recovering from a wreck he had while on the racing circuit. He is well known in the racing circuit but right now the last thing he needs is to be around people especially reporters. Well let’s see if he gets to keep himself secluded.

On my how I loved learning more about the island and all its breathtaking beauty. With luscious plants and fruits, the island offers a place to be with God and bask in His Glory.

As Steve and Margo are placed together in a funny way they begin to open up to each other. Margo is not as confident as she needs to be but being around Steve is helping her. Steve has a dream that only God can help with.

The intrigue in the story puts Margo in danger as she uncovers secrets that could damage reputations. I loved the mysterious Mr. X and how he meets Margo in secret places to give her incriminating evidence against someone powerful.

I have to mention how excited I was when a favorite author was highlighted in the story. Wait till you find out who it is. What a great way to recognize an author who influences many.

Come join the excitement filled with intrigue mixed in and discover new relationships, dreams and faith that stands against those who try to discourage others.

A Heart for News, by Susan K. Beatty is book four in the Suamalie Island series. This is a series that is written by different authors. This is a well written, easy to read and imagine story. The story has suspense, mystery and budding romance.

I enjoyed reading of Margo's family and the devotion they have to the newspaper and their family. Even though she doesn't like to do interviews, she does them. She struggles with wanting to move the business into the future when her father refuses.

Margo's friend sets her up to meet Steve, a race car driver. Steve has come to the island for a rest after being injured, before returning to the circuit and does not want anyone to know he is there. It is fun to see their friendship develop and grow. I enjoyed reading of the different emotions the two had and how quickly they became involved in each other's lives
