A guard helps a woman who is awaiting trial for the murder of her husband to escape prison just to keep her locked up in a different type of cell. What is the reason he would risk his whole life for a stranger? What is he hoping for out of all of this?
Just when you think they are safe, new dangers reveal themselves and you start to question who you can trust.
I found the timelines a little off the mark, but the story was ultimately dark and gripping with shades of gaslighting, spousal abuse, and Stockholm syndrome.

Soon the prisoner realizes she is being held captive and needs to figure out why she is being held. Lots of excitement and a good quick read.
