1. Horatio Alger, Jr. is the famous author of that name who wrote Ragged Dick.
2. Horatio Alger, Jr. was also used by Edward Stratemeyer in what is known as the Alger Completions. Alger's sister arranged to give Stratemeyer access to some uncompleted manuscripts and Stratemeyer wrote 11 books under Alger's name (some based on manuscripts or plays Alger wrote, or inspired by serial publications).
Please do not combine the 2 Horatio Algers and do not combine either with Edward Stratemeyer (the works have been aliased and do appear on his page in addition to the Alger-2 page and this should be sufficient).
