I checked this out after reading the author's other book, The Last Resistance: Dragon Tomb. This is a gripping read through the psyche of this young boy! There is an optimum balance between the reality and a much-desired punch of Bollywood through the book. Just when you start to think the storyline is getting predictable, you are hit with an unexpected plot-changing twist that leaves you wanting to read more. The storyline progresses interestingly with a highlighted authenticity to the Indian-ness with relevant references that every Indian can surely relate with. What I loved the most is that the author portrays an accurate insight into Indian culture without necessarily stereotyping Bollywood.

It is not just another love story but one that shows all facets of personal growth and overwhelms. Being a musician myself it is extremely exciting to be taken into the world of rock music. The nitty-gritty details of a musician’s life are much appreciated and relatable. I also feel that the book would be equally relevant for a non-Indian audience as a ticket to exploring a new culture. In any case, the emotions of the protagonist are definitely not dictated by any ethnicity and are beautifully worded by the author. A must read for anyone who wants to be warmed emotionally. A fast-paced and riveting reimagining of World War 2. It is reminiscent of Tomb Raider, with a hint of Godzilla and Aliens vs. Predator--all installments which I thoroughly love. The book is a historical fantasy with completely unexpected twists. Mr. Alexanders uses his vivid imagination and great research materials, that you'll have to think twice about certain events.

It's always a challenge to write sci-fi books and stay convincing. But this book has such a refreshing concept and well-rounded characters. It is so easy to immerse yourself in the world he has created. I enjoy archaeology, and books or films with such themes. If you like the works of Jules Verne, and want to read something extraordinary laced with historical trivias, I highly recommend this one.… (lisätietoja)
