The 7 winners of the DARE competition have their work cut out for them as they try to solve the Signmaker 's cryptic messages before something terrible happens on the planet.
To make matters worse, it appears they are being prevented from helping each other as Dylan and Andy find themselves in police custody on trumped up charges, and after a train crash Yasmin has gone missing.
Lots of action, adventure, etc but I think I have worked out what is going on...i.e. solved the riddle of the Signmaker so it will be interesting to see if kids can too.

Reviewed for VPRC. Not bad. Kids will like it and the fact that it only has 7 books in the series is a bonus. A world-wide competition is offered to anyone aged 10-17 around the world. Called the DARE awards, the prize is offered by the world's richest man, Felix Scott and is won by 7 teenagers from various countries ( inc Australia) - Yasmin, Isabel, Andy, Dylan, J.J., Zander and Mila have all demonstrated initiative and problem solving skills to win which will stand them in good stead for the quest ahead.
There is suddenly a First Sign that appears on their mobile phones which is linked to a deadly terrorist attack and there threatens to be more if the DARE winners don't solve the puzzles that appear in time. The 7 have 7 days to save the world.
For fans of Conspiracy 365 and Matthew Reilly, there is a lot of action and not much character development as the author struggles to introduce us to all 7 teenagers in the first book. (I found the Australian boy to be a bit over the top Crocodile Dundee/Ocker so it will be interesting to note if the author tones him down in future books and whether he grates on the kids who read this too.)… (lisätietoja)
