I had been a great Vikram Seth fan until I read it -- and still am (on the theory that every great writer has one bad book in him). Anyway, I did not know about the CD for An Equal Music. The book was given to me as a gift. I will definitely check out that CD! I'm hoping I get to it this month; my reading slowed down for a couple ... The ability to write about music in such a way that you can practically hear it is really magically to me.
