If you have Shopgirl the book, read it first and then see the movie. If you don't have the book, go ahead and see the movie. I don't think the experience of either will affect the ... ... understand it's supposed to be a prequel to Jane Eyre (one of the my all-time favorites).

The C ... ... I decided to continue on the trend with Steve Martin's autobiography. (I've also read his two novels, which are great: Shopgirl and The Pleasure of My Company.) This book made me smile because it confirms my impression that he's really quite a thoughtful, intellectual guy underneath all ... Hey blackdog, thanks for you review of Enduring Love and Shopgirl. They have definitely gotten a move up in the TBR pile. I absolutely love Daniel Craig who is in the movie version of Enduring Love but somehow I always get caught up in something else every time that I want to see the movie.
