It was hard to follow and a disappointing read about a woman who could not seem to deal with life and the hand it dealt her to the point those around her had to suffer right along with her. The relationship between the teacher (Vida) and the widower (Tom) is completely implausible and the 'secret' is revealed early on in the story. Not a whole lot of substance or intrigue here folks.
