The landlady (Sunako's Auntie) has dropped by with a surprise announcement, she's going to become a housewife to a business man of limited means! Although this gives Sunako dreams of having a closer relationship with her glamorous aunt, they all know that the odds of this sticking are just not very good at all. In a later story Sunako acquires a cursed diamond which leads her into some surprising situations, including Kyohei's bed and into giving a free show to all her roomies. Our last portion brings out Sunako's competitive side when Kyohei starts eating at the home of a mystery girl (or could it be love!)

Last night I zipped through volumes 11, 12 and 13 of this fast moving and amusing manga. I often found myself laughing out loud, especially in this volume at the part where Sunako winds up making breakfast in only her apron.

There is always a strong dichotomy between the stories and how the manga-ka relates herself in the bonus pages. As lovely, funny and dramatic as her storylines are, these bonuses are usually filled with stories of how miserable she is and how her editors never let her do anything. It was kind of refreshing that really the only bonus page we got in this one had pictures of her cat, and no allusions to impossible deadlines and running away. The last few pages still contained her ode to j-pop stars and other famous people she admires or has met.

This is a great and addictive manga series although I frequently feel badly that the creator was so miserable doing it. ( )
