How I live Now was not what I expected but was good nonetheless. I was expecting an adventure story like John Marsden's Tomorrow Series but instead found a much more ... #190
A book similar in theme to Marsden, is How I Live Now. My girls and I really enjoyed it and the possibilities for survival that the kids had to devise. Some of the theme is a little edgy but it was definitely a book that High schoolers could handle for a "life issues" class. Well, I like Meg Rosoff's How I live now very-very
much. It makes me cry every time when I read even just a little part of it.
But my favorite book is Sloppy Firsts by Megan McCafferty
It is the best YA book I've ever read! 39. How I Live Now - Meg Rosoff
It's hard to pick which of Meg's books I like better, but they'll both break your heart. This one made me cry despite already having read it when it first came out. ... NOT NEW YORK CITY! How awesome is that? I'm going out to buy this one as soon as I can, and I guess I'll have to re-read How I Live Now, too, since that was another stunning, tragic book by the same author. This one's highly recommended. # 9 Just finished How I live now, I liked it but it was rather weird, I wanted there to be more at the end of it. But it was very interesting, I'm not sure I'll ever read it again, it sort of reminded me of Tomorrow, When the War Began #37 How I Live Now - Meg Rosoff

I also like a lot of Walter Dean Myers' work - he has a great Vietnam War novel called Fallen Angels. how i live now by Meg Rosoff is another war story, but it is an unnamed future war. It might be a little longer than you want, though. Same holds true for Sherman Alexi ... I'm currently listening to How I Live Now by Meg Rosoff audio book. Seems to be really interesting, but the jury is still out on if it will be a good read or not. ... Valerie Dayre, again a one I didn't really enjoy (3/5) and Toby Alone by Timothee de Fombelle which was lovely (4/5) and How I Live Now by Meg Rosoff which I thought was really poor (2/5). I have got quite a few more I've read but these are my recent ones from May and just before. Just finished How I Live Now by Meg Rosoff. Can only say... wow. Gosh. One of the best books I've read in years, especially in the YA category. I almost always semi-skim books, skip bits, read the end first... but with this book I had to read (and sometimes reread) every single word. T ... Both Green Angel and Incantation by Alice Hoffman fit this description. Also, How I Live Now by Meg Rosoff. ... I don't think there is enough of that these days. I read it as a early review for our school library. I also loved How I Live now by Meg Rosoff. I can't wait to read her new book. ... from Kate Atkinson and read something else in between.
