... I also liked Tricksters Choice. I loved Arrows of the Queen series. There is always Thirrin in the Icemark series The Cry of the Icemark how about crown duel and court duel I read those is secondary school around the age of 13, and really loved them. I'm reading Blade of Fire by Stuart Hill, the sequel to Cry of the Icemark. So far, I'm not sure it's living up to the appeal of the first book. 20. Cry of the Icemark by Stuart Hill
... ... Mirror on the Wall.
On my weekend vacation I stopped at a Half-Price bookstore and got nine books for thirty dollars.
The Cry of the Icemark by Stuart Hill
Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery
Time Enough For Drums by Ann Rinaldi
The Woman in the Wall by Patrice K ... I have finished reading The Cry of the Icemark and Blade of Fire by Stuart Hill so far this month. I've also read a nonfiction book called The Wand in the Word, which contains interviews with authors about their writing, influences, and similar topics. I would like to add the Icemark Chronicles by Stuart Hill. There are only two books out so far, Cry of the Icemark and Blade of Fire. I have found them to be very good reads. Also, another title that falls under YA Fantasy that is just fantastic is the Abarat books by Clive barker. I am a ... 1. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince by Rowling
2. Cry of the Icemark by Hill
3. The Amazing Maurice and his Educated Rodents by Pratchett
4. The Golem's Eye by Stroud
5. The Neverending Story by Ende
Fantasy anyone? #37 I loved Blade of Fire every bit as much as Cry of the Icemark. Have you come to the bit where Cressida appears over the hill, yet? I was sitting in a cafe reading that and the tears just rolled down my cheeks. Some very queer looks, I can tell you! ... and easy read. I just started the second book of the Icemark Chronicles, Blade of Fire by Stuart Hill. The first book, Cry of the Icemark was really good and so far Blade seems to be its equal. I have The Princess Bride in my sights this month as well. ... finally had to see what all the hype was about. I have to say they are pretty good, for YA fantasy.
Currently reading Cry of the Icemark by Stuart Hill. I am a middle school teacher and I have started a Fantasy Book Club at my school, and this is the first book we are going to read, I have ... ... Story a couple of days ago and I am now flying through Harry Potter and the Half blood Prince. Next on my TBR pile is Cry of the Icemark. I am starting a Fantasy Book Club at the school I teach and this is the first book we are going to read. I got Stuart Hill's The Cry of the Icemark through interlibrary loan from my university library. I'm already on chapter 11. I liked Cry of the Icemark quite a bit. I seem to remember it getting better and more original as it went on. (Wasn't crazy about the cover design on either the hardcover or paperback... I wonder if more people would have read it if it had looked less flashy...) ... It was funny and full of action, but not as much of a romance as most Crusie novels.
Right now I'm reading The Cry of the Icemark by Stuart Hill. I'm reading The Cry of the Icemark by Stuart Hill right now. So far it's really top-notch, quick-going fantasy that kind of reminds me of Chronicles of Narnia meets a YA version of George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series.
Anybody else read it?
