Private library

If you want your library not to be publicly viewable, your profile allows you to set it to "private" status. This influences a number of things on LibraryThing and elsewhere.

[edit] Consequences of setting a library to private

• Your catalogue can only be viewed by you (when you are logged in).
• Your profile is still visible to everybody (member or not).
• Comments on your profile are still visible, as are comments you leave on other people's profiles.
• You cannot link to specific books in your library, because others cannot access them.
• If you are using the LT widget on your website or blog, it will appear empty.
• Your reviews are not publicly viewable anymore.
