This page lets you set what fields you want to display in your catalog when it's in list view. You can set up to seven columns each for views A-E. The Shared column appears automatically in every view and does not count towards the seven.
You cannot set a default display style, but LibraryThing is set to remember the view and sort order you were using the last time you viewed your catalog.

[edit] Show Per Screen
Allows you to choose how many records show on each page of your catalog, from 5 to 100. Set this based on your catalog size and how much you like scrolling.
[edit] Suggested display style for visitors to your library
You can pick one of your five display styles as a suggested option for visitors to your catalog. This may be useful if you think your library is best viewed by sorted by tags, or by date read, or you really want to highlight your reviews or your comments. Ordinarily, other logged-in LibraryThing members will see your catalog in whichever display style they were using on their own catalog, and non-logged-in visitors will see the LibraryThing default view (WHICH IS WHAT?).
However, if you pick a suggested display style, other people visiting your catalog will see the following at the top (for hypothetical member name "LTUser"):
If they click on the "use it" link, they'll see your suggested columns, as well as the following link at the top:
[edit] Swap Column
Allows you to include a column that provides a link to each book's swap page, as well as how many copies of this book are available from and wanted by various book-swapping websites that partner with LT. This column does not count towards one of the seven.
