John Surowiecki is a poet and playwright; his Watching Cartoons Before Attending a Funeral won the White Pine Prize; The Hat City After Men Stopped Wearing Hats won the 2006 Word Works Washington Prize. "My Nose and Me," a 33-scene TragedyLite, won the Pegasus Award for verse drama, and will be produced in Chicago, Washington, and Storrs, Connecticut. Open Reading follows featured poets.
