Tietoja minusta I am a 50 year old Texas woman who loves books. What more can I say. I have always loved walking into a library and smelling books, seeing books and thinking, now this is where I belong.I enjoy the mini vacations and cast of unusual characters I meet when I indulge in the wonderful world of reading. What other situation allows you to go back in time and meet someone you are interested in. I am a christian woman who loves my God and my country. My wonderful husband and I have two great gifts in our life. Our son is 29 and our daughter is 26. I am a registered nurse. I enjoy good movies, good coffee, and good ole home with books in every room. I am a life long animal lover and so it is no surprise we share our home with a healthy dose of pets.LibraryThing has assured me that there are other people who have my same malady...Bookitis.

Tietoja kirjastostani My library is a work in progress. I am literally going shelf to shelf and listing all the books I have read. I will be working on this as the days go by because I am listing at leisure. I have been looking around the great rooms of LT and can already see that many of you have very extensive collections. I am really impressed with the books and the owners. Happy READiNG.

Hi Brenda! Nice to meet you, my name is Bonnie. Yes, I was very impressed with your library collection as well. I also love the smell of books especially old ones. It makes me wonder how many people read the book before it came to me. I was so impressed with this site that I have already referred my best friend here. She and I both love to read and in fact we are going to start our own book club called the "Readaholics". I just got finished reading "The Ghost Orchid" by Carol Goodman. It was a really good mystery with a twist. Right now I'm reading a book called "Misplaced Loyalties" by Victor Justice. It's about the murders of Marilyn Monroe and the Kennedy brothers. It's a fascinating read! What are you reading now?
As a matter of fact, I'm just beginning to read A Thousand Splendid Suns by Hosseini. I absolutely loved The Kite Runner (I see you also gave that 5 stars), so I'm hoping Suns will live up to my expectations.

It's really fun, isn't it, to be able to look over other people's libraries. It has piqued my interest for books I want to read. It's also jogging my memory for books I've read in the past. As I'm trying to list all the books I've ever read, I'm having trouble going back more than 10 years (before I started keeping a list), so looking at others' books has been helpful.

Hope you have a great day!
Thank you for adding me to your interesting libraries. I see we share 110 books and actually had similar ratings with most of them. I'm just curious - - was there something in particular about my library you found interesting?
