Tietoja minusta First off I'm an avid reader, those who know me well would describe it as an addiction or obsession, take your pick. I never go anywhere without a book in hand! I've even been known to walk out of a movie if it isn't up to my standards and read in the car while I wait for my spouse. I'm the proud "parent" of several four-legged "children" of the feline variety, all rescued. I also enjoy cross stitching, Seattle Mariners baseball and Seahawks football, NASCAR and country music.

Tietoja kirjastostani I try to read a variety of subjects mixing fiction and non fiction. I'm always looking to expand my reading horizons and "peeking" into other libraries on LT for books of interest. You will find a lot of popular fiction/authors mixed in with history, memoirs, sports and adventure. Costco's book section is the first place I zero in on as their selection is eclectic.

I see you like adventure books also. I would like to reccomend to you Miracle in the Andes by Nando Parrado. I think you would enjoy it since we share other adventure books.
Hi there! Thanks for accepting my friend request. I saw we had alot of books in common and I see we also have kitties in common.... :o) I have two boys, brothers, they are meowing for breakfast even as we speak....

Have a great weekend!

I thought I was the only one who got those fits!! As much as technology is great it can also bring me to murder something (mainly my computer). I think you are now back in the ring.

I have been noticing that there is not much action on the site so I am glad that you are doing a survey. I am not sure what that is about. I have noticed that although there are many, many generous people on these boards, the % of people of are getting free arcs and books to review is very high compared to the people who are paying it forward. I am not sure what that is about. I can understand someone wanting to keep a special book that they want to re-read, but I wonder that they are doing with all the other free books they are getting.

Actually, its not really any of my business :) but I think that it one of the reasons the UP FOR GRABS site is not more "populated" - its always the same people who are on there doing contests! - still I think its great and very helpful and I thank you for doing it.

I will now get OFF my soapbox. TINA
Hi: I think we actually have it!!! I just approved the site and it looks like it is there now! Teamwork.....

Wow - 8 little babies - I felt brave with 2 (my little Rebecca died a year ago at the age of 18 - I had her since she was 2 months! that was tough.

Now, I have Griz who is 10. They seem to age to quickly.

Take care. TINA
I love, love your profile picture - I have a cat myself and they are the best!!!
Hi: I will see if I can do something from my end. Ringsurf is not very user friendly and their help section is horrible!!! I had a terrible time trying to register in the first place - but eventually got it.

Thanks for your patience.
I wanted to let you know that Takeover arrived today.
Thanks again.

I don't have the 2 reivews from my Yahoo! 360 page.

Oh, that's a shame. I put down that the reviews were lost to the vagaries of Yahoo. I don't know if you want to delete your LT reviews for those two as they link back to the error page too.
Thank you so much, Marcia. You contributed a great deal to the game so your reviews make a big leap forward in completing the Wiki pages. Your reviews are in except for the first two: Sovereign Ladies and The Courts of Love. The link to these reviews - http://360.yahoo.com/woodbear97 - leads to a Yahoo error page. Do you still have them?
Hi, Marcia. On Go Review That Book!, I've created a group Wiki page to keep track of the progress of the game and the reviews that have been generated. Some may find it easier to read the reviews by having them in one handy place. There's a discussion thread in the group and this is the first Wiki page if you are interested in having a look. To avoid any difficulties with copyright, I'm seeking your consent to add your reviews to the group Wiki page.
Thanks for letting me know. :)
Hi Woodbear,

I saw that you were on Bentley Little's page and I thought I'd drop by. :-) I too, have a feline friend (she thinks she's a dog LOL) Her name is Malibu. (She's a tortie.. and she has tortie 'tude. :-D)

Anyways,
Sam
Well...hello, then, neighbor! Sure is a small world, isn't it???
Hi, woodbear. We have 35 books in common so I thought I'd add you to my "interesting libraries" list. I live in Boise; where in Idaho are you located?
Hi Marcia,

Thanks for your insight regarding Jodi Picoult's Harvesting the Heart. I read a few of her books back to back one time, but I had to move on for a while... so much heartache in them. I had finished reading Nineteen Minutes just a few days before the terrible shooting at Virginia Tech, so I needed to read something less depressing, and I haven't quite got back around to reading more of her books.

I got Firefly lane as an early review and I would be willing to trade you when I finish it and get it reviewed. I too don't know what to do with the books I review, because I worry that who ever I give them to might try to sell them etc. Obviously you respect the rules, so I would fell comfortable with trading you. You can contact me at my hotmail account, which is mydomino1978 at ...
Thanks, but someone else already sent me their copy of the Guardians (and I only need one of each!)
Just got my SantaThing book. (Better late than never ;-) Thanks a lot! I've been looking at this one for a while but hadn't gotten around to even getting it onto my wishlist. Perfect!
Hi Marcia -

I had to laugh when I got paired as your secret santa - it was almost like looking in the mirror. I'm a Marcia (legally) but have been Marci forever. Both of those series are ones that I like, so it wasn't difficult to pick what to get you next.

Enjoy them - sometime in 2008! Happy New Year!

Marci (aka your LT Secret Santa)
Hi, Marcia!

I started on blogger and while I did look around at other options a few months ago, I decided I was better off staying where I was. I find it fairly easy to use and it helps that it is free. Manipulating the classic templates can be a challenge but they also offer much more straight forward options. My husband is html literate, which has been a big help to me in being able to get the look I want. There are help sites that offer tips in this area for those of us who aren't quite so knowledgeable. I really like Blogger.

I know a few bloggers who swear by Word Press and others by Typepad. You could experiment with the different platforms to determine which you like best.

I hope that helps some. Whatever you decide, be and sure and let me know your blog address so I can visit. :-)
Hi Marcia,
For a website on the genealogy of royal families, I consult Brian Tompsett's Directory of Royal Genealogical Data at http://www3.dcs.hull.ac.uk/public/geneal.... I also have a copy of Alison Weir's Britain's Royal Families: The Complete Genealogy that I keep nearby if I'm reading a novel about the royal families of England or Scotland. It was only published in the UK but is well worth getting as a reference.
Hope this helps!
Sarah
