Tietoja kirjastostani Ah, this hodge-podge of books and dreams jumbled together in the collection called my library. Most of my books are secondhand, discovered joyously at library booksales and thrift stores. I wonder what their histories are, if these books were happy with their former owners before they ended up in a cardboard box at the mercy of strangers. I adopt them and love them.

My library is like me. It is always growing and changing. It is sometimes untidy, spilling off the shelves and onto the floor. Very little of it is pristine. But it is beloved.

I would love the Love in the Time of Cholera (I'm an ex-library book fiend). But only if you are sure it's not too much trouble. You can leave me a comment when you've listed it.
Thank you thank you thank you!

Wisewoman,

I just took a peek at your inventory and felt myself thrown back into my adolescence! Paul Zindel, The Cross and the Switchblade, etc... How funny, I hadn't thought about some of those books in years. Richard Peck (Ghosts I have Been), Playing Beattie Bow, Mary Stewart and the Keeping Days series... So are they remnants of your past?

Apparently I'm really oblivious and never noticed your comment -- thank you! Nice to see I'm not the only person on the overrated train. :)
I just checked the PBS website. Cranford airs May 4-18. Joy! Rapture! :)
I'm so glad you enjoyed "North & South" and yes, I too noticed how similar it was to P&P. I haven't read the book yet but it's in my pile to be read (along with hundreds of others). I have "Wives & Daughters" on my Netflix queue as I've heard great things about it. I'll add you to the list of those recommending it. They're supposed to be airing "Cranford" on Masterpiece sometime after the Austen movies.
I'm so glad you enjoyed my review of A Wizard of Earthsea! I can't wait to grab the next one.
Thank you so much for your comment about my review. It really is a good book..her story is very compelling. Take care. Hope to talk with you again soon.

Just stopping by to say hi, and to mention that your review of "I Capture the Castle" is dead-on. I was so disappointed by the second half of that book, and I thought it was going to be wonderful. *Sigh*
I see you have the Jan Karon books, did you read her recent one out? Home to Holly Springs, is the title. I received it as a Christmas gift and read it right away. I really enjoyed it.
