Hello Jessica and so pleased you responded; had our first litfest meeting for the year yesterday and program coming together. I was interested in your comment about MWF - and probably agree that it can disappoint at times although I love it when I come upon an unexpected gem of a session. I really enjoyed Peter Temple last year and although am not a devotee of crime fiction found Broken Shore compelling reading. Clive James was most disappointing however and rambled on like a bibulous old fart: a long way from the witty erudite polymath who engaged in scintillating repartee with poet Peter Porter in an ABC radio series I heard some years ago.
If you get a chance, do pay a visit to the State Library to view a wonderful exhibition of books through the ages - there is an original Hogarth Press edition of The Waves but couldn't see Ulysses...anyway I do not expect you to respond to this message but wanted to let you know how pleased to receive your reply and that you showed interest in our little literary event. I hope you will check out the full Program when we finalise it.
