Tietoja minusta I live just outside of Bath, UK not far from the Mendip Hills. I keep a few chooks in tha back garden and I am a volunteer Guide Leader and Senior Section Leader. Recently I got married, my husband does not understand my book obsession, the last book he read was fungus the bogeyman (a great book none the less) he keeps nagging at me for having too many, but they are my close friends and hate to do so.

Tietoja kirjastostani It's a bit SFF, I enjoy books with female protaganists and a great adventure. I love to read a great series, i get miffed when an author takes an age to get to the last book, so I do tend to save them on my tbr pile until they are all released. I have a huge amount of books on my tbr pile so at the moment trying to clear the shelf off before buying more books...

I just thought I would drop you a line, and tell you I bought the new Nightwalker book by Jocelynn Drake today. It is supposed to be the first in the Dark Days Series. I will let you know how it is when I finish. It sounds like something that would be right up our alley.

Have a great day.
You read the summoning, How was that? I am so eager to read it.
I will keep a watch out for her also, I believe many great things will come from her. The Anna strong chronicles is on my list of to reads. I have not added all of the books that I have listed to read, I have a novelist compliation of books that I have been working off of. I am just trying to get used to this librarything first. I had to hunt all over the place to get find out where my messages from people list at. Ha! I used to think that I was good at this computer thing.
I saw your recommendation for the Jeaiene Frost Night Huntress Book. I really like your review I was amazed by those books. They were awesome. Nice to meet you!
Thanks for adding me as an interesting library! Not sure if you know, but "Cry Wolf" by Patricia Briggs is available, at least in Canada. It's Charles and Anna's first book and I really enjoyed it. :D
It's always a pleasure to "meet" fellow book-a-holics! :) Especially one's with great taste in books. I hear you on the ridiculous amounts of TBR piles of books. I have about 600 here myself, lol.

I also have a book review blog where I put my reviews, and sometimes have author interviews and contests. It's called Sidhe Vicious Reviews at http://sidhevicious.wordpress.com/ So if you have time to kill, feel free to pop over and say hi there too. :)
Ooo! I saw that you added The Summoning by Kelley Armstrong - how did you like it? I absolutely adored it! I am in agony over having to wait until May of 2009 for the next one!!!

Hope the book restriction is going alright (don't have too many delivered to work!!!).

Cheers!
Hi how goes your book restriction? I am implementing something similar myself when I realised how large my TBR pile was. I just finished Fire Study and I can see what you mean about predictable; I was a bit disappointed that Varlek had such little development or stage time. I did enjoy Magic Study though, in a weird way it reminded me of the Alanna series by Tamora Pierce. Definitely would recommend a couple of new ones I discovered recently Nocturne City by Caitlin (Something?) and Night Child by Jess (something?)0 sorry I'm hopeless with names.

Now that I have added some more weight to your TBR pile I shall scamper away cackling into the stacks ;)

I snagged a copy of Dead To Me by Anton Strout, as well as Night Child by Jes Battis.

They look to be very interesting and different, and I am all for different. Plus, they are the first books in their respective series', so it's nice to be able to start a series when it comes out (I'm usually starting one when there's 10 or more books in it, which is also nice because it keeps me going for a while).

I've looked at the Michelle West (Sagara) books - I keep thinking about them, saying one day I will get those... May have to move that up closer to the top of the list!

I know what you mean about all the TBR's - I have a TON of 'em. But, I tend to read a book a week, so I like to know I have plenty of options when I finish one.

Weather here is horribly hot and humid, which makes me very sleepy, and not much in the mood for reading, which is maddening. Hope everything over there is going well!

How goes the book diet? Hope you're not going completely starkers. I was in Borders yesterday with me Mum and for some reason, I thought about you! Hope everything's going well!

Hi again,

I just powered myself through a back to back read of Rachel Vincent's Stray and Rogue, so it seemed appropriate to stop by and thank you for the recs - I'd had them a while but you finally gave me the impetus to read them! I absolutely loved Rogue and I can see why you're waiting eagerly for the next one. I enjoyed Stray too but as a cat owner I thought some of the worldbuilding was a bit off as well as the use of 'tabbies' as a nomer for the girls (surely it should be 'queens' my pedant self muttered) and I suspect if I hadn't read Bitten before it I might have enjoyed the first books plot more but anyhoo I do appreciate the recs because I adored Rogue and Marc has joined my fictional crush list.

I just had a wee nosey at your wanted section, and if I may return your kind favour, I'd strongly recommend that you DONT buy Devour by Melinda Morel or Ivy Cole and the Moon - personally I thought the two were some of the worst fiction I'd read in a long time, never mind paranormal genre stuff. Devour is absolutely awful though just no characterisation or even narrative style at all, everything is told rather than shown and there's no world building to speak of.

On a happier note ;) I'd wholeheartedly recommend Jeanne Frost's Halfway to the Grave (particularly if you were a Spike fan from Buffy, it was a fab light read, and Eileen Wilkes is great too.

Cheery for now,

I may go crazy if I'm not allowed to buyu books...

My dad keeps asking my mom to sell some of hers, but she refuses - I'm the say way. We're both avid readers/re-readers, so we like having the books. My dad isn't into the reading bit - he likes to read his gun magazines every month, but other than that he's not much for it.

Well, if you have any questions on a series I have read, feel free to ask - I don't mind spreading the wrod on books! Tootles!
I much agree with scriberscouse! I wanted to thank you for adding my library to your interesting section. I think I will be perusing your selection to see what I might want to purchase myself. have a wonderful day!
Hi there,

I meant to pop by sooner and thank you for adding me to your interesting libraries list. Looking at how similar our favourite author lists are I'm guessing that I will more than likely end up scouring your library for new authors to fritter my wages on at Amazon! Thanks again

Ruadh
Hi! I'm on the Dawn Cook Yahoo group and I saw your message :) It looks like we have a lot of books in common. One of my favorite authors is Kate Forsyth - the first book in her Eileanan series is Witches of Eileanan. I'd definitely recommend it!
