Dear Ben,
Just noticed my mis-spelling of 'easy' in last message. I did not mean to be vulgar but am cross-eyed with catalogue entering. Anyway welcome to the Gregorian Chant group. Pleased to see there are six members now. One is a priest in Rome so we have a chaplain if we need one!

A lovely disc arrived today, bought on ebay. It's 'Corpus Christi: Chant in honour of the Eucharist' sung by the Benedictine Nuns of St. Cecilia's Abbey, Isle of Wight, off the UK southern coast. Normally I prefer men's voices for the chant but occasionally the ethereal purity of the voices of consecrated women is what's needed. I know this choir from of old. They began recording Chant about 30 years ago and are the only Monastery of nuns in UK who have steadfastly continued their entire liturgy in Latin since the Council. I have their first recording on vinyl somewhere upstairs. This new CD is very good value with 30 tracks including the Masses of Maudy Thursday and Corpus Christ, and the traditional music for Benediction, plus several other appropriate Latin hymns.

I'll post all future comments about new acquisitions on the group page.

All the best for now,
Pax,
Jane
Dear Ben,
See next message for an aasy way to join in a click. Antimuzak has joined and severalof my own contacts have been approached who are all great people who will help us on the learning curve.
Cheers,
Jane
Dear Ben,

I wasn't aware I'd made the group private. Have another go on 'join this group' and if still a problem get back to me and I'll contact LT for help. You just have to get on board!

Just read your favourites list and tags lists. It seems we are of the same theological/biblio complexion. From my LT researches so far there appears to be only a handful of us, but you never know, more may come out of the woodwork!
Best regards,
Pax tecum,
Jane
Hello,
I've just started a group 'Gregorian Chant' for those interested in Plainchant, Renaissance Polyphony and Traditional Church Music. It's lonely in there at the moment. Would love to have your company. Also I see our other interests concur. Hope to wecome you soon.
Best regards, Jane
You have an interesting library...
