Tietoja minusta I'm a bookworm and mother of 8 year old triplets, which is a full-time job for now. I enjoy mysteries and novels, including Canadian literature. My husband also loves hard science fiction, classic literature, scientific books, and books on hiking and mountaineering.

Tietoja kirjastostani I began the catalogue with the children's books. Our kids are in grade two, so their library has shifted from picture books to chapter books and novels now that they are reading voraciously.
I'm still cataloguing our adult collection, one box at a time, beginning with classic novels, Canlit, thrillers and mysteries. This is going to be a lengthy project! There are about 2000 science fiction I haven't gotten to yet...

Hi - I see you added me to your interesting libraries. I'm flattered. Looks like we have a lot of common interests in our reading. Nice picture by the way - get them hooked on books when they are young!
"It's exciting to see new features added, and to see more and more reviews and Common Knowledge added by users."
Yes indeed, though it gets temporarily frustrating when the staff are trying to get something new or an improvement to work and it interferes with other things.

"Christie fan"
Most of the crime books I'm cataloging are really in my wife's part of the library, she's more the crime fan, and the science fiction is more my part. I don't really consider myself a Christie fan, having read a couple of books a long time ago and not much enjoyed them, but I did like the TV series Miss Marple with Joan Hickson and Poirot with David Suchet, so I'll probably give the books another try.
Hello - Thanks for your review of Cue for Treason by Geoffrey Trease. Your last word - 'memorable' - is so true. I'm pushing 60 right now, but I remember with great fondness my desire to devour every Geoffrey Trease novel I could find, when I was 13. I guess I found him at the exact point when I could identify best with those oh-so-adventurous-for-the-early-1960s protagonists. I found two of Trease's novels at Alibris so my boys could read them, too.
