Tietoja minusta A software industry veteran, Skip has more than 35 years of technology product development and executive management experience — across Fortune 1000 companies and start-up businesses.

I enjoy reading mystery and fiction books to escape from the stress of work. However the majority of my library is a rather eclectic collection of business, technology, spiritual, design and personal development books. Amazon.com is one of the worst things that ever happened to my budget for hard to get non-fiction books.

I have skipped Amazon all-together and resorted to half.com ;)

Be well ~ Cora
We share 165 books. I am trying to find out about Business Models: a Strategic Management Approach. I want to know where you bought it and for how much. Please suggest a used book store where I can buy it.
Skip, I am glad to see "Juggling for the complete klutz" is among the 98 books we share. Unfortunately I never mastered the skill.
Hi Skip: I am a graduate student at NYU's Interactive Telecommunications Program and am doing some research on social networks.

I am looking at library thing and entered in 85 books and you share 25 books in common with me. I am interested in you perspective on this site and whether it has affected your reading or buying habits.

Are you also with Attenex? I saw some research papers in a google search that you may have submitted to the IEEE, my student membership doesn't allow me access though. Would love to read more of your thoughts.

Regards,

David
Dear Skip,

I noticed that you have a copy of my book "Idea Mapping" in your library. Just wanted to say thank you and I hope you found it useful. I haven't put all of my books into this library yet, but even with the small number I have -- we have 30 of this eclectic collection in common!

Warm Regards,

Jamie Nast
Hello and good afternoon to you. We share so few books in common, but I have just learned of this web site and library tool. Due to your profile and book recommendations I'm going to read next, "Mind Sculpture", which I had never heard of before I checked out your profile. The book sounds very interesting and I appreicate your high rating of the book. Thank you for participating and sharing with us,other members. It is very interesting to see what software we have chosen to load into our minds for our own processing. Thanks again for the recommendation.
I just started cataloging my books and noticed the eclectic mix of shared books we have. more *interesting* is the fact that we are both wine makers. How odd.
I notice we have 61 books in common. The most interesting for me are the Diamond Heart and other books by Almaas. Are you a student of that school?

I have been for 20 years.

"Amazon.com is one of the worst things that ever happened to my budget for hard to get non-fiction books."

I suspect that could be any of us on this site! My wife helps me keep a lid on my book-buying, but it's amazing how much you can pick up used if you're in a good location.

I thought Seattle had one of the best used book stores in the country??

Actually, I haven't looked over your library but "the majority of my library is a rather eclectic collection of business, technology, spiritual, design and personal development books" might be a pretty good description of mine, too.
