Tietoja minusta English lit degree; wild about BookMooch & LibraryThing; frustrated by lack of adequate shelving. Life prevents me from reading nearly as much as I'd like - my Unread tag is getting a bit scary (and esciting!)...
I'm proud to say I've read Ulysses cover-to-cover and readily admit I understood about 5 words.

Tietoja kirjastostani Shelves by IKEA.
Fiction is my mainstay. Particular weaknesses for Canadian and Indian writers, Roald Dahl and Victorian ghost stories.
I wish my shelves actually reflected more of what's listed in my Read tags, but I'm limited by what my garage, bedroom, family room and living room can handle -- and by what my husband is willing to lift each time we move.
Occasionally my books are lost through loans gone bad -- or to Evil Dog #1 (left). He likes to eat books when unsupervised, and all efforts to convert him to Reader's Digest have failed.

i just finished "the history of love" and loved it! i am starting "the thirteenth tale" today, which i am excited about. i am really enjoying "the portable dorothy parker" as well. i have "behind the scenes at the musuem" but haven't had a chance to read it yet! and yes, i am loving the new home page. only problem is that i am spending even more time on here now and my books i want to read list is growing way too fast!
eat pray love was definitely worth the read. i went out and purchased it after seeing the author on oprah. although i didnt think it was quite as amazing as everyone says, it was still a very good book so i think u should give it a try!
lately i have been reading alot of oprah recommended books: eat pray love; into the wild; the road; love in the time of cholera. and i read reservation road. was pleased with each one of them. i recently bookmooched a few i can't wait to read as well. how about you? read anything good lately you think i should check out?
a way too early in the morning smile.

feel free to use 6 stars!, no need to give me the nod. i'd be happy to trade it for a story about your love for starfish.
too funny about Ulysses. i must have read that first page a thousand times.

the second, maybe twice.
Garden when it's light, read when it's dark. I didn't understand Ulysses either. ( Mind you he was Irish!)

I am currently ploughing my way through Kate Long books, she is a relatively new writer having a few best sellers in the UK and her novel 'The Bad Mother's Handbook was recently made into a TV series. However I think she is yet to crack the international market. Anyway she lives near my neck of the woods and is running a creative writing workshop in a couple of weeks which I was lucky enough to get a place on.

I am also about to embark on Blake Morrison's 'When did you last see you father?' Which is my Reading Groups book for this month.

Your reading list sounds very hectic and action packed. I too love Joanne Harris~ another great English Lady Writer!

I like your phrase 'putting the veggie garden to bed' -you obviously have a well loved garden.
Hey there LT Friend! Are you reading anything interesting at the moment? Or anything intellectual or even both?!
Hello, I like your way of tagging books as TBR or Own&Read, etc.
