Tietoja minusta I am a high school English teacher with a 12 year old son and a husband. I LOVE reading. I write (not enough) and hope to publish one day. Also I love art museums, the beach, the forest, and foodnetwork.

Tietoja kirjastostani I have wide-ranging tastes, and I regret that I did not keep track of books all along, since I know that I can not remember them all. I am hoping that this process will help me connect with other readers.

Although New England is my home, Coastal South Carolina is my nirvana. I have had the privilege to spend several vacations with my South Carolina in-laws in beautiful Fripp Island. Fripp and its surrounding island and Beaufort introduced me to many wounder Southern authors of which Pat Conroy is one of my favorites.

If you know of any other historical fiction novel about Coastal South Carolina, I would appreciate your recommendations.

just checking out your library. you have a great collection. we have 347 in common! i majored in english myself but decided not to teach!

Sorry to hear that you've been ill. I hope you're feeling better. I'm trying to avoid the many viruses making their way through the area. I understand about the ill parent thing. My mother's been dealing with health issues for a year & a half. It can take time for me to get enough mental steam to write something (though, obviously, today is not one of those days!)

I see that you live in coastal SC. I lived in Georgetown for a while during my teens (30 years ago!) We were a military family & lived in a lot of places.

I read Ionesco while studying for my English degree. Our local university (UT-Chattanooga) recently performed "Rhinoceros." I think I need to go back & read it & expose my (nearly) 11 y/o daughter to it (bless her heart, I keep making her think!).

Gosh, a day without reading is like a day without chocolate - but worse, I think. I can live without chocolate but not without reading!
