Tietoja minusta I have loved books since before I could read, really, and still believe in the maxim, "Wear the old clothes and buy the new book".

Tietoja kirjastostani I try to mix things up with different genres, but I inherited a lot of romance books from my mother when she sold off her collection a couple of years ago. I feel so far behind in books compared to some of you out there.

As I was adding this book, The Lion's Way, by Marsan & Lloyd, I noticed that you are the first and only other LT'er. Then, of course, I glanced through our shared book listings - 26 for common themes.

I'm wondering, how did you come by this book? I got my copy at the Maine HR Convention last month.

Have you read yours yet? I'm getting ready to start my copy now. Cheers,
Hi, I noticed that you have TO GRACE SURRENDERED by DeAnna Julie Dodson. In case you didn't know there are two more books that go along with this one and they are IN HONOR BOUND and BY LOVE REDEEMED. Your library has many books that I look forward to reading so if you have any particular favorites let me know. :-)
Thank you for the reply, none-the-less. :)
Hi, Have you read the book Lord of the Nile by Peter Danielson? I have a friend who wants my opinion as to whether she should invest her time in reading it or not. I don't have time to read it, so I thought I would try to find someone who had read it and give their opinion to her. :) I think she was wondering about the Christian content, she would want it to be accurate.
Hi! Thanks for being my LibraryThing friend. You have some great books on your shelf. Have a fun week!

Lisa :)
Hi! We share 608 books! We also seem to share an obsession with books:) I just wanted to say hi and wow and so on. Keep up the impressive collecting!
Hello,

Given your interest in Michigan literature, you might be interested in my new novel, Into the Desperate Country.

Brief Description

Three years after losing his wife and daughter to a tragic car accident, Stan Carter abandons his life and retreats to his cabin in northern Michigan. But no sooner than he discovers life again, the real world intrudes on his seclusion, forcing him to return to human society. Thus Stan’s odyssey begins. Part cosmic vision quest, part farcical return to high school social dating, Stan’s story will touch anyone who’s shaken his head in disgust or dismay at the modern world.

"Jeff Vande Zande's Into the Desperate Country captures the primitive pulse of a life on the edge. Against the backdrop of Northern Michigan, a taut drama plays itself out, pulling the reader along on its tight rope. Once the logical world of our daily routines falls away, what are we left with? Vande Zande offers no easy answers in this impressive debut novel."

-- Jim Daniels, author of Detroit Tales

Hi, it looks like we share a lot of the same books and apparently like many of the same authors. Would you be interested in starting a discussion group?
I am amzazed at the list of books (72) that we have in common, I didn't think anybody's collection would be as eclectic as mine! However, I am truly in awe of the sheer VASTNESS of your collection. My hat is off to you!
We share some good books together! (150) And all across the board in genre's. :o) Just wanted to say hello and tell you that I am in Michigan too! I am also keen on wearing old clothes...;o) And old books!
Wow, you have such a huge collection! I share more books with you than anyone else on LT, but when I see how many books you have it seems as if it would be impossible not to. I really enjoy browsing your shelves - it gives me so many ideas on more books to buy!
I keep looking at your list and seeing books I want. Darnit.
Hello there! I see you have Bride of the MacHugh, which makes you only the third person I've ever come across who owns that book. I borrowed it from a teacher when I was 13 and going through a historical romance phase - she later gave me a copy that she came across, and those were the only two copies she had ever seen, she said.

Terribly cool! We share 58 other books, as well!
We have 63 books in common, and we have Michigan in common. Some titles we have that caught my interest: Ten Great Mysteries by Edgar Allan Poe by Edgar Allan Poe, Manifesto of the Communist Party by Karl Marx, various The Bobbsey Twins, Jonathan Livingston Seagull by Richard Bach.
We have some of the good books in common and I thought I'd say hi.
Awe pookie, I was just tryin' to help.
Hey you've read the Myst series. Good stuff huh. It's much better than the game, well at least the second one. :)
Wow. Someone else on here that has a bunch of manga. And here I thought I was alone! I love Chobits and Oh! My Goddess, too. In case you didn't know, they're publishing the entire Oh! My Goddess series again, in the correct Japanese right-to-left format.
Just wanted say "Hiya" to a fellow LibraryThinger who has a similar library to my own. (I share 63 books with you so far, mostly kids.) Anyway, keep up the collecting. It's quite impressive! :)
I was going to say "you're the one I have the most books in common with!" (we share 20 titles) but then I saw how many books you have and...WOW. That's all I can say. I'm so jealous! But I'm young so I still have time.

Far behind?!?!?! Eek, you're putting the rest of us to shame! Do you realize you're on the top 25 list????? *grin*

Seriously, I'm impressed....
or how about:

"...buy lots of used books.'
