Thanks for adding me to your interesting libraries, and yes, I've read all the works by Agnar Mykle. I Think "Lasso rundt fru Luna" is one of the most outstanding novels ever written by a Norwegian author (besides "Mysteries" ('Mysterier') by Knut Hamsun). I must admit I haven't read all the Paul Auster books I have on my bookshelves, but I liked the ones I read some years ago.

I'm just trying to make a list of what books I've read from "1001 Books" and submit it on the message board at '1001 Books to read before you die'.
By the way: There is something wrong with the 'submit function' (messages disappear), so I will place my list(s) in more than one message.
kik. :-))

Were you brought up to be multilingual or did you have to learn it all as you got older? If your parents raised you that way I am deeply envious. I did some German (now pretty much forgotten) and French (now partly forgotten) at school and have been labouring with modern Greek for years now. Although I love learning Greek I can't help thinking my parents did me a disservice by not having had a Greek au Pair, so that I could have just grown up knowing the language with so much less effort!

I'm trying to work out where you come from as I assumed at first (because of the time zone you appear to be contributing in) that you were another Brit, but I've now come to the conclusion, judging by your books, that you might be in either the Netherlands (1st guess) or Germany - am I warm yet? Must say it's really nice to have someone else on here who is up and about at the same time as me (or, of course, you could be an American insomniac).
