Tietoja minusta My name is Nikolaus Leo Overtoom and I'm a Graduate student at the University of Maryland. I am 23 years old. I won the first ever Gil Samples Award for best undergraduate history paper in 2006. I plan to follow in my Dad's footsteps and become Dr. Overtoom as well as a Professor. Although I am not completely sure, I plan to get my PhD in Roman History or maybe Byzantine History. Both of which are fields that fascinate me. I would love to someday become a writer and/or a professor. I'd also like to travel Europe and study their history from Rome to the Middle Ages.

Anyway, I'm trying to contact lovers of (and voracious readers of) classical history to see if they might be interested in previewing a little online project of mine. If you're interested, you can go to this link and see what I'm doing. Or check out my blog.
I'm just joe average christian guy, but I've spent the past 12 years trying to focus my New Testament studies thru something approximating total historical contextuality. For the past 2-3 years, I've been going one year at a time. I've got an outline done up from 9 BC to 70 AD, but so far I've only *written up* thru the death of Augustus. There's much more to come...
If you do stop by and enjoy reading, I'd love to get some feedback from you about the content of my work. Again, only if and when you have the time/inclination. I know what grad school can be like...
