Tietoja minusta Pastor at Bethel Evangelical Church, Clydach, near Swansea, and I also work at the Evangelical Movement of Wales.

Tietoja kirjastostani My library is organised by Dewey classification (except for those marked as unclassified). However, not all my Dewey numbers have been entered onto LibraryThing yet. Once this is done, I'll tag everything, using the Dewey numbers as a starting point.

The vast majority of my books are biblical/theological, and I'm currently researching The Gift of Prophecy in the New Testament, so there's plenty of books on that topic. Electronic books are tagged with libronix, quickverse, wordsearch or pradis.

If you're wondering how I got all my Logos/Libronix books into LibraryThing, here's how.

I tend to buy books - particularly commentaries - in series (both to save money and for completeness), even though you inevitably end up with some books that aren't quite as good as you hoped. The main series which I have in my library are:

Academic/Technical
Baker Exegetical Commentary on the New Testament
Hermeneia
International Critical Commentary
JPS Torah Commentary / JPS Bible Commentary
New International Commentary on the Old Testament
New International Commentary on the New Testament
New International Greek Testament Commentary
Pillar New Testament Commentary
Word Biblical Commentary

Middle of the Road
Bible Speaks Today*
IVP New Testament Commentary
New American Commentary
New International Biblical Commentary
NIV Application Commentary*
Tyndale Old Testament Commentaries
Tyndale New Testament Commentaries
UBS Handbooks

Devotional/Expository
Focus on the Bible*
Preaching the Word

Historical Interest
Geneva Commentaries*
Moffatt New Testament Commentary

Most of these I have as complete sets (as many volumes have been published, at any rate), though some sets not full. These I've marked with a star.

Just wanted to let you know that Abby worked on the work that you were having problems separating yesterday. I don't think she could get it to separate either so I'm not sure what the problem is at this point. I'll have to look deeper into it. I am kneed deep in a long and drawn out code transition right now so I'll have to look at the book data later. Ping me again in a day or so if I haven't sent you another message about it.
You're great :)
Hey, you should have left style one. It thought it was a good test of somethign. -2 is good too—much less restrictive. It's fun to compare all versions.
Thanks for all your helpful information regarding mosaics. I tried it out tonight and made a decent-looking mosaic with only 550 pictures in my LT library.

I'm embarrassed to say that I don't know how to post the picture somewhere in case anyone would like to see how a mosiac picture turns out with so few books. The file was too big to go on my "profile" spot, and I don't know how blogging works. Guess I'll have to learn something new again tomorrow night (or whenever I have time).
Cool stuff - I also did ACCS - OT and ACCS- NT last night ... anything rather than write essays...
Hi Mark,

did you see my message about the Word Biblical Commentary "series" problem that you posted? I was the one messing with the WBC series at the same time that you were!

Cheers,
Murray
Well I am just stopping by because am at a loss for anything better to do and found that you have a very curious book collection...I am just wondering(for the sake of wondering that is) what the reason is that you have aquired so many religious books, all somewhat about God? I am not saying it's a bad thing I am just curious. You aren't obligated to answer back, although I'd grately appreciate it. :)
Wow, you're the only other person on here who has read 'Why Bother With Jesus' by Michael Green.. Your booklist is impressive!
Thank's for putting together your giftofprophecy.com

I was able to use it a few years ago to help with a research paper on the very subject.

Mark
Hi Mark.

(responding to your comment on my profile)

My Libronix DLS compatible books (that have an ISBN, anyway) are listed in my LibraryThing account; I just haven't tagged them as such. I describe the process I used on my blog.

Hi Mark,

I see we have at least one book in common (Schaff's History; actually that should count as 8).

I guess by now you realize what you've gotten yourself into researching a subject like NT prophecy!

Over here in the U.S. that frequently means eschatology but if your interest is more toward spiritual gifts then I may know of some work that you'd find helpful. I'll send you an email.

Gordon
Hi Mark; I noticed you're researching the gift of prophecy in the NT. I just went through Grudem's Gift of Prophecy in the New Testament and Today with a few guys and we all found it extremely helpful--both instructional and inspirational. He writes from a Reformed and charismatic point of view (which is as refreshing as it is rare). Just thought I'd drop my two cents in...! May God bless your studies! - AG
