RyhmätA Pearl of Wisdom and Enlightenment

Tietoja minusta Daughter of two, wife of one, mother of three, sibling of three, aunt of three, grandmoma of one, friend of plenty, with multiple in-laws, step-family members, cousins & their parents, and mentor to a couple. As they all are the same to me. What a joy. Owner of one dog, two cats & two fish that are still alive as of today. I also have a blog but I'm a smart-ass so I don't think I care to share the url address right here, right now. It clashes a little with my Marion the librarion image I like to play and sing. :)

Tietoja kirjastostani Within the past year I gave up my dining room, where no one was dining, and transformed this area into my new love, my library. It tooks months of work but it was a labor of love as I have always adored my books. I'm a librarian in my secret-fantasy-dream life. My books, today, are cataloged by genre. They used to be alphabetized by title. I adore the dust covers, the binding, the paper and the transformative journey one can take at any time by stepping into the pages...into a random author's mind. This has been an interest of mine, a passion, since I was still in elementary school. I meditate in my library each morning - peace and joy, compassion and creativity are heightened and...well...yeah, that's all. I LOVE MY LIBRARY...

Would love to hear from a fellow time/clutter/stress management junkie
Hello!
I was wondering if you'd like to join the rest of us Never Tease A Weasel owners at the listing including both the 1964 and 2007 versions. It seems whoever listed your version has the illustrator and author as the same person and didn't include an ISBN. Just search the title and click on the one that just says Jean Conder Soule, not Denman Hampson Jean Conder Soule. Of course, if this isn't a matter of life and death to you, as it clearly is to me, then ignore this note, but we'd love to have you!

Yes, I must admit that I also like Wayne Dyer very much especially his book "Your Erroneous Zones". I prefer to hear him speak though, most of the time on Public TV. I find him to be alot like Alan Watts in that respect, a great public speaker. I keep hearing about A Course in Miricles and I am a little confused by it. I was under the assumption that it was a long involved course that people pay to take. I must search it out on the web.
I have a silly question for you. I notice that you have a few Stuart Wilde books in your library, I have Whispering Winds of Change and found it most interesting. My question is; do you know where the the Eight pointed Star over a Crescent moon which is also over a stunted triangle comes from? He uses it throughout the book. I've searched everywhere but with no success.
I see that you have read Jon Kabit-Zinn's Wherever you go There You Are, but didn't rate it or comment about it. What did you think of it? I also get the feeling by looking at what you are reading that you are searching for something. If you come across a copy of Eckhart Tolle's The Power of Now, Give it a look trough it may be what you need. Also I always recommend Anthony de Mello's Awareness: The Perils and Opportunities of reality
It's slow going, to get them all logged. But I remind myself that this is supposed to be FUN! I'm not even 1/6 of the way finished. :) (That's what makes it fun...) I have a lot of old, first edition books, and it can take awhile to find the "right" copy - I'm also a little bit of a perfectionist that way. Not too, TOO terribly, but enough to get me side-tracked. This venue is very new to me, other than simple data entry - I just learned yesterday, on your site, that I can click on your books that I, too, own - and voila! add them on! Now THAT was very cool...
