Tietoja minusta I am a teacher from South Texas. I love all kinds of books, although you can't tell from the books because I read them very carefully!

Hi,
Thank you for your comment. I just bought "shark Island' will be reading it soon. I generally don't read mysteries but I've taken a liking to this historical sub-genre. I've read most of Ellis Peter's "Brother Cadfile" series and a couple of Steven Saylor's Roma Sub Rosa books with "Gordianus the Finder"
Thank you for your kind comment! I'm usually a very fast reader and Becky had me hooked so I zipped right through it. (Plus I wanted to finish the book and post my review before they selected the early reviewers for the December round!) I always like to sit on my thoughts for a day or so before writing a review and really think about the best way to describe not only the plot and the writing style but my own feelings and attitudes towards the work. I've enjoyed reading other people's reviews as well and am glad to see that most of us enjoyed the book. Maybe we could start a discussion thread in the Early Reviewers Group!
Happy Holidays! -elbakerone :)
You do have a great collection of historical mysteries, and we have many of the same books. But I will be exploring your library for more ideas! Although the historicals are sometimes harder to come by, they are much more enjoyable for those of us who love to delve into the past.
I love to be able to picture the scenes I am reading in my head with the proper period attire, so I have quite a few historical costume books, but I haven't had a chance to get them all on LT yet. The Jane Austen mysteries are among my favorite novels, I only wish I had discovered them before my grandmother passed away, I know she would have adored them.
You have a wonderful historical mystery library. I am always looking for new ones to add to mine and you have some that I plan on looking into reading soon. Jennifer
I prefer historical mysteries and you seem to have a nice collection. I've already been through many of them, but not all.
Jill
