Tietoja kirjastostani I've catalogued pretty much everything I currently own including a lot of fantasy fiction along with smatterings of classic fiction, mainstream fiction, other genre fiction, and non-fiction books on topics which have caught my interest over the years such as knitting, crochet, web design, genealogy, tarot, and travel. I also temporarily add borrowed books so I can show whatever I've been reading lately whether or not I actually own it.

And of course, you have to love Tolkien.
And which of Ursula K. Le Guin's novels would you recommend someone start with?

The New View Over Atlantis is one of the original works on the ley lines in the UK, running through all manner of ancient sites - it's a really fun book, makes you think in odd and mysterious directions. The book on Arthur by is really interesting - places Arthurian legend some 100 years earlier than most efforts to tag it to real history - and even, places much of it in France, and attaches the legend to a historical figure, a captain referred to in some written accounts, as the Romans were withdrawing, and the vacuum created invasions - a very interesting take altogether.
You will probably love Bujold - her work is consistently inventive, with warm and likeable characters - I have not read all of her stuff, but those books I've gotten were all wonderful reads.
Everything Carolyn Cherryh has written - wonderful. Nobody does political pressure and aliens better. She's inventive, too. Even in extended series, her books take neat twists and turns.
Martin - I like the first of his fantasy series, and I liked Armegeddon Rag. He writes very edgy stuff. And the backdrop - breathtaking.
How delightful to hear you are enjoying To Ride Hell's Chasm. There was a group read of that title, if you want to revive the topic.
