Tietoja minustaHi. I'm a mother, professor, writer, and lover of books. I grew up in Seattle and Raleigh, and now live in Lexington, VA. My first novel, The Widow's Season, was published on June 2, and I've got a memoir with HarperCollins called Love in a Time of Homeschooling that will be published in April.

Jane Austen is a big favorite, as are modern poets like Yeats and Elizabeth Bishop. Contemporary writers that I admire include Marilynne Robinson, Barbara Kingsolver, and A. S. Byatt.
