I am glad that you recognized me. I have been on this website almost two years now and I enjoy it!! Between this and BS&L board I am kept on my toes.

You have quite a few books that I would love to read. I think I am going to make my next book shopping list from some of the things in your library:) Have a lovely day.
Hey! I'm a bit slow on this- asked you a question about it in BB, but have since found the answer. I missed an ER pick this month, but next time! Think I need to reveiw some of my library. See ya over there-
Karen,

It is well over a month after you made mention of my Franzen review and I just now saw the comment. Sorry! I'm glad you appreciated my review. Good to know I'm not totally off-base.
Hi Karen

I see we have 30 books in common and that you also have an interest in England. Well I live on the south coast of England and thought that might be of interest to you. What kind of books do you write and are they published in England? Happy New Year and all the best for 2008
Howdy Karen
We have mucho books in common including all the Nevada Barr mysteries. If you haven't ever read a Sarah Andrews mystery you might want to try one. Andrews' main character is a woman geologist, who is a little bit of a weaker woman initially than Anna, but the overall themes are on the same track - outdoors, geology aspects to the murders, etc.
Hello Karen:

I see we share a fair proportion of books. I think I have about half of mine entered. I noticed you rated Isabella Bird's book on the Rocky Mountains highly, it is on my to get list because I read her book on Hawaii recently and was very impressed by her.

This site is way too much fun!

Cheers!

Barb
Hi Karen, just discovered we share 48 books, gonna take a browse through your library now. Slainte, Jimmy
Hi ya Karen. I just changed your status from "interesting library" to friend. Does that send out the request to be "allowed" to be your friend or do I have to add you for that to happen?

GOOD IDEA by the way!
Hi Karen! Yes, I'm thinking it will be fun, especially with the reviews! Hope I don't get trapped in a time-suck looking at everything! :)

Vanessa
Hi Karen!

Thanks so much for the information about the Early Reviewers requirements. I've updated my review of "Peony in Love" to be 25+ words. I appreciate your looking out for me! :)

We share 75 books! I'm off to check out your catalog now.

Thanks again,
~Susie
Karen, for your info, I am only recording books I have read or am reading, rather than my library. My book shelf is always in a state of flux, with residents coming and going. So if you've read a book on my list, let me know what you thought. See you over on the book chat central boards.

Sandra
Wow Karen, we share 48 books so far and I'm not even done putting my library up! Great minds think alike huh?
Courtney
We share 38 books in our Libraries! Burroughs, Chabon, Irving, Oates, Stephan King, and Phillip Roth are some of my favorite authors. My book club has a site you might enjoy. http://www.keneast.info/bookclub/newbook You can see other books I have read, read reviews, and see where we go to dinner! I have been in the Book Club since December 2003. I received an email response from Augusten Burroughs when I contacted him after reading Running With Scissors! Keep reading! Any suggestions not on my list you particularly enjoyed? I really enjoyed A Confederacy of Dunces by Toole and The Devil in the White City by Larson. Jeff
Hey there, just thought I'd drop a line, since you and I are the only ones that share Bess: A Woman's Life in the Early 1900s - guess it truly is just a local interest right now.
Hi Karen!

This is just a great way of cataloguing books, and it links in so nicely with BCC don't you think?
As usual, I have noted down all your high-star reads in the knowledge that I am likely to enjoy them too. It's so useful to have a like-minded reader! (Doesn't help the size of my TBR pile though LOL!)

See you back at BCC...
Hi Karen!
I'm so sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you....

No. I'm not the one who originally mentioned this site. I thought it was you.........

I'm having so much fun with it. I am going back to when I very first remember being read to before going nite-nite. That's a long, long, long time ago.

And of course, keeping up with BCC..

Love it!!!

Pam
Karen,
Hope you are enjoying your vacation! I actually quit reading Inheritance of Loss. Might be me, not the book, I haven't been happy with my reading choices lately, although I am reading Echo Maker now, a National Book Award finalist and liking it immensely. Doing displays on Horror for Halloween and Chick Lit for the heck of it, neither are quite my genre!
Karen O in Denver...we have 22 books in common, mostly the highbrow ones on my list. I live in Boulder. Are you purposely reading Booker Prize nominees? I have the 2006 winner in my hand! I knew the winner would be announced this Tuesday, so, not having read any on the short list, I took a chance. It's OK so far..about India, which I like...as you could see from my list of books.

I really liked Black Swan Green because I listened to it and the reader was fabulous..all the accents and that.

Anyway, I have to quit playing around and get to work writing a book review.

Katharine
I found you too! Thanks, Karen, for bringing this site up again on the board. I'd forgotten all about it.

Heck...log your library books too!

Pam
Hi Karen. I found ya! This is soooo much fun. Thanks for pointing the way

Jill
