Tietoja kirjastostani These are books I own. I think I've almost finished entering them all. Of course, I plan on continually expanding my library.
I don't keep an online wishlist because the only way I can keep mine to a reasonable size is by losing my list every few years! :)

I just wanted to let you know that I received "The Weather in the Streets" today. Thank you so much for sending it to me. I have never read any Rosamond Lehmann and I'm really looking forward to it.
Thank you again,
Bernadette

I was just catching up on posts and saw your response to my post on the which-austen-character-are-you poll (skewed toward Lizzie) and wanted to say I heartily agree! I'm posting on-thread, but since it was so long ago...

Between work and a play rehearsal, it'll be tomorrow morning before I can finish EH's post. At least I've started, anyway.
Thanks, Joel

I've never been a Hemingway fan, but now he feels more like the eccentric uncle with whom you don't agree much on anything. I wonder what he would have thought of this.
It does look impressive, we should pat ourselves on the back!

I'd still like to do American Indians, nature/wildlife, writing and/or reference, and more... it'll be an ongoing effort, I guess.
Thanks for saying I should post the announcement.. I'll message nperrin and see what she says. Or...maybe Papa himself could announce it? "My library is complete... thanks to all the people who helped, such as... tagging my books is an ongoing effort... etc."
I could even end with something amusing (corny?) like "Now back to my poker game. Bill Faulkner is into me for ten bucks."

On the subject of cataloging errors, I noticed that there are two different books numbered #5967 and #5967a respectively, which means that there are at least 7369 entries in the catalog, not 7368.
I've entered all 'my' duplicates, there's just some checking up to do.

Excellent list and thank you so much for your hard work!! I was thinking
of doing the same awhile back, but never seemed to get around to it.
Tomorrow, Tomorrow and Tomorrow is a Dial Press Virago, so no number there.
Blood on the Dining Room Floor (green spine) is MIA! I have many, many books still in boxes
so I'm sure it's there, somewhere....

Great idea! Unfortunately both the titles you mention are ones that are back in England so I can't lay my hands on them.
I wish you well with the project, and of course look forward to seeing it myself ;)

I've ordered the first season Of Inspector Montalbano through Family Box Office in Australia. I have to go through my credit card validation process yet, so I'm not certain when they'll actually ship, but it should be soon. I'm really looking forward to seeing the series!
Thanks for taking the time to suss out Australian online stores. i wouldn't have known even where to start!

Thanks for stopping by my profile page. I hope you enjoy Two Gardeners - I know I really did. And thanks for the comments about the dog - his name is Brix, and he's a 1 year, 3 month old mutt. He's a cutie, and luckily finally starting to act a little less puppy-ish and a little more adult.

Dorothy Gilman is quite a bit lighter than Elizabeth George, and her Mrs Pollifax stories are more like little adventure stories than mysteries. The first one is The Unexpected Mrs Pollifax in which Mrs Pollifax, an elderly widow, finds herself bored with life and does what she's always wanted to do. She presents herself to the CIA as a spy, and they find she fits the bill. I would read these as palette cleanser between denser books. I hope you enjoy them if you decide to give them a try.
Cheers!

Oh, and one last thing; If we us the 'Wikipedia model for image use', shouldn't we assume that Wikipedia uses the same model?

Thanks so much for calling the Allingham misnumbering to my attention! I think that I just messed up when I put the numbers in. I noticed that after 17 I was okay, so maybe I had a brain blip that day.

I loved "Pope Joan." I found it very fascinating and intriguing. I've passed it along to one co-worker and another wants to read it. It's the January book for f2f book club. To think there could have a been a female Pope but then again why not?

There's no way he's the photographer. Judging by the photo on his profile page, he wasn't even alive when Kazantzakis was born! In any case, I tracked the photo down to Wikipedia, which says it's copyrighted. Nothing like taking credit for something you didn't do!
I think I'll drop him a comment (don't worry - I'll be polite)!

As to Malbec, I was chastened by the movie "Sideways" and stopped drinking Merlot. So I had to get a little more adventurous. Becker Vineyards, a Texas winery just outside Fredericksburg, was selling a Malbec. The owner has become such a fanatic, he's spending a year in Argentina to learn some more secrets. At any rate, once I'd sampled some, I was hooked. Have you tried the Becker brand? It's really pretty good. They grow the grapes in Camp Air, Texas where, supposedly, conditions are identical to Mendoza, Argentina.
Thanks for your advice and guidance. One of these days, I'll stop being a burr in your saddle.

My name is Dawn Connolly and I am a LibraryThing member and a librarian at Toronto Public Library. I see that you have recently added “Custodian of Paradise” to your library. I run an online book club called Book Buzz and this month we are discussing the book. It’s a friendly group, very relaxed, and we’d love to hear from you, too.
Our website is: http://bookbuzz.torontopubliclibrary.ca
We are also very lucky to be hosting a live online chat with the author, Wayne Johnston, on Thursday, November 22, 7:30-8:30 PM (local time). Please feel free to join in.
Thanks,
Dawn
