"Armaggedon" is on the to-read list. As for the whole issue of Russian beastliness to the German populaton try reading Norman Naimark's "The Russians in Germany" sometime if you already haven't done so. The issue isn't whether the Germans had it coming or not (it's not like I'm overly sympathetic), the question is whether indiscipline in the Russian ranks had a negative impact on the conduct of the campaign, and the answer there would seem to be yes.

As for the show you mentioned I never got around to seeing it, but as obsessed as I am with World War II I too weary of the "Nazi Channel."

Actually, it would be more accurate to say that I'm obsessing more about the early American republic these days.
