I am not sure what to say, save that I am sorry to have taken so long to log back in and notice your post. I have had surgery which prevented typing for quite a while. Sorry.
I am myself a fairly new member, so I am not expert in any way about how to use the library. My experience though, it that it is a really useful tool to catalogue my own library - now that it is mostly catalogued I can call it that!
Any advice? I tend not to give advice - finding many people misinterpret advice and do something that goes wrong and then blame me!
Options though I am happy to dispense. Option one - catalogue as fast as you can, but limit the number of TAGS. It is easier to add them later than to delete the ones already there.
Can't think of anything else at present.
