Noticed you liked Mudbound, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here as well as a few other book-related sites. Thought you might like my book since it's also southern (and also a bit dark). I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like (I'm out of physical copies at the moment). Here's a link to a summary (and a sample chapter) in case you'd like to read more before you commit:

Hi Suusan
We have 181 books in common, but what I noticed most when reading the list is that you & I both have a lot of books by Jessamyn West. Ms. West has always been among my favorite authors & yet she is rarely mentioned now. In her day, the 40's & 50's women writers weren't taken as seriously as men, so male writers were often praised for what Jessamyn did better than many of the men popular at the time. Her character developement & interesting plots should have earned her a place among the classics. Yet she is only remembered now for the films made from a few of her more popular books. Also she didn't write the type of "women's fiction" that so many women readers expected to read. Everything she wrote was quality & she never lowered her standards to be popular. I think "Leafy Rivers" is my favorite. It is a short & simple story about a pioneer wife who takes on a man's job when her family is in need. It is told with grace & humor & great descriptions of the Indiana wilderness in the early 1800's. it is nice to meet someone who shares one's favorites.
