Tietoja minusta I love to read and have been an avid reader for as long as I can remember. I currently am working in a public library at the circulation desk.

Tietoja kirjastostani I use Library Thing to keep track of the books I have read, not necessarily the ones I own. I think this will be a great way to help with reader's advisory because too often I have forgotten what I have read and then I don't know what kind of suggestions to make or my notes are at home. This way I can always login and search with my tags. This might explain weird tags I have as well!

Hi! Hadn't seen you around the "Read YA Lit" board in a while, so I thought I'd leave you a comment. Been busy with end-of-school stuff?
Hey! How has life been? I miss you!!! Write me soon!
~Stefi~
Saw you listed in the Cheeseheads of Wisconsin group and thought "Hey! I recognize her from Flickr! Thought I'd say hello.
HI im a member of read ya lit and im so happy you chose inkheart for february! Its my fav book of all time and i think ive read it over ten times! YEA!!!!!!!!
found you on Twitter...which took me to your blog...which brought me here! :D Nice to meet you!

Your 101 in 1001 list is great!
You're welcome! I'm glad you didn't feel like I was stealing your role; I kept thinking it wasn't my place to be making the poll.

I'm hope you're enjoying your new job!
Hi,

I'm just about to graduate from TWU with a MLS. It is all online and accredited. Make sure your program is accredited by the ALA. Drexel is good, but $$$. The UW is also good, but fairly technical.

Go to ALA and there is a list of accredited MLS programs.

TWU is a good and small school. The professors are great and hands on. They do not require any campus visits.

Laura
How's the new job? Any crazy people yet? We miss you here :( But I do hope you are enjoying yourself. Is there a good selection of books? Visit me soon!

♥ Stefi
Well you will have to let me know how you like the new job. I have been thinking about changing my career from a teacher to a librarian, but we will see....I have te get some experience in before I go for it. Hope you enjoy it!!
Hi Becky,

Yes, a lot of you I first saw through blogging were LT members so I had to check it out and I just love it. I do see your name everywhere and it is kinda nice to know there are so many out there that share the same passions. I love to read children's literature and YA so I am sure we will be seeing each other all over. I am sure it says this somewhere, but are you a teacher also?

Julie
No problem, I'm glad to help. I completely understand about not being able to keep up with anything. I always come to LT for a break from real life.
I just saw your post about the poll not working, so I wanted to let you know that it's just the link that didn't work. I was able to find the poll by looking through the recently-created Vizu polls and I posted the link to it, so you don't have to go through all that work again tomorrow!
The reviews I read for Nineteen Minutes, and what you said did not tell me that it was about a school shooting. I actually was a junior at Thurston High School (which was the worst school shooting a year before Columbine and of course you had no way of knowing that either) and while the book is actually quite hard to read for me, it is a good story and I find myself perversely attracted to it. How have you found your students reactions to it? I know you said it prompts good discussion but was anyone disturbed by it, and mind you I just started and am probably only at one hundred pages into it?
No problem!
Hi,
I saw your post from earlier in July about needing teenagers for a survey. Don't know if you still need more of us, but I'd be happy to help you if you need it.
Hi there! New to the site and to the group. I was wondering if you could help me out, you seem to be very well versed in YA literature. I am looking for "good" books on the theme of bullying, and outcasts that are a little higher level. I currently teach a literature circle in my 8th grade LA class with the following books: Tangerine, Inventing Elliot, Revenge of the Wanabees, Speak, Battle of Jericho, Hidden Talents, Stargirl, The Girls, and Hoot. I was just given a honors class and am trying to figure out how to keep the unit (because it is fantastic!) but serve those higher level students at the same time. Any suggestions?
Thanks for letting me know about the group!

Emily
Hi,
I'm a teenager, so I obviously read YA books. I was wondering if anyone can join your Read YA Lit group.
Thanks for the welcome. I love YA Lit and cant wait to join in the discussion.
Ann Marie
Hey!

Thanks for inviting me to Reads YA Lit. Looks like a great group, and I can already foresee adding a lot of titles to my list of stuff to read.

♥ I still got it!!!
GUESS WHERE I'M GOING FOR SPRING BREAK?????

NEEEEEEEEW YORK!!

YEA, I'M SO EXCITED! I'M LEAVING TOMORROW AND I'LL BE BACK ON FRIDAY!! IT'S GONNA BE SOOOOOO FUN! :-)

I HOPE YOU HAVE A HAPPY EASTER!!

LOVE YOU! MISS YOU!!
Is Peeps a series?? Omg, I finally checked it out yesterday and I'm now done with it... I only got yelled at for reading in class once, cuz my teacher doesn't understand the multitasking of my brain... :-p But, is it a series?? I want to know what happens with the giant worms taking over the world! I just love Scott Westerfeld's books and all the interesting, thought provoking things he adds into them. There was a lot to learn about parasites... lol! I didn't really think of the vampires as vampires though. Hmmm, I guess I'm just too stuck on Stephenie Meyer's models... lol!

Anyways, how are you doing? I'm really glad it's the weekend and also it's the end of our third term! Yippeee! Only nine more weeks until summer and WI!!!!!!!! :-)
Miss you!
♥ Kaati
