Tietoja minusta I've lived and worked in northwestern Canada most of my adult life, and seem to be fairly permanently settled in a small town on the alaska highway. I cross country ski every day all winter, and hike and paddle in the summer, when I'm not reading, that is.

Tietoja kirjastostani I have most of my non-fiction and classics listed, and now most of my (mostly) paperback fiction is done! I still have some odds and ends scattered around and several shelves of children's/juvenile and other books I originally read a long time ago to do. I may start on my CD's, videos and DVD's when the books are finished - or maybe not.

I was surprised to find that over 10% of the books I have catalogued so far are not yet catalogued by anyone else!

I gave up on Churchill's other series - the whole "housewife as amateur sleuth" thing got to boring and irritating me. As far as ER goes, I only got one book that you didn't and I'm pretty sure it was because of all the kids' books I have listed.
Well, I see we are getting the same ER book again. I liked the others in that series so hope this one is good, too.
Well i spoke to my mother, Meg Hodges, a day or two ago, and it turns out she does know yours. I'm not certain how well, because she almost immediately drifted the conversation onto the story of someone who moved to Saltspring and now sells silkscreened salmon and, as happens with parents, i'm not entirely sure how the conversation got there. But, our mothers do know each other. Cool, links like that.
Got Tell Me Where It Hurts today! Won't have time to read much until Sunday due to working the book sale, but it looks good. The little dog on the cover is adorable :)
I just signed up too, so not sure how long it takes for the book to come. I have been reading the Talk group and it seems variable. The publishers ship the books so it is up to them.

The funny thing? I got the same book as you :)
Funnily enough, from my mother, who lives & goes to church on Saltspring!
I do, currently, live in Wales. I was born in England, grew up largely in BC, and lived the majority of my adult life in the US; we came here two years ago.
Ha, i see we and we alone share Loaves and Fishes too. May i ask how you got a hold of that rather specialised book?
Cheers.
Well, you could get rid of some - that's what I do when I run out of shelf space. There are always some that I know I will never read again no matter how bored I get and to which I don't have any sentimental attachment. Or ones (like Lady Chatterley's Lover (which was actually a terrible book anyway and deserved to be weeded on that ground alone) that I was embarrassed to have in the house or afraid the kids would find :). Start a box to bring down and sell next time you're in Edmonton.

Mind you, I keep buying more, too...
Yay - you made it to the top of my shared books list (weighted, not yet raw, but I bet you get there too).
w00t! you broke 1000!
ttfn--Jane
