It's sooooo creative!! And very adventurous!
It's a great book!!! OMG! You HAVE to read it. Check it out at your library. Dragonspell, by Donita K. Paul. Read it!
It is? Wow! I did not know that. I guess it's a small world. Have you read Dragonspell?
I think the Warriors series is one of the best series in the world. My friend told me that Erin Hunter was a girl. And I did NOT know that! hahaha
I actually just bought Impossible - I'll let you know how I like it has soon as I read it :)
I looked at your blog profile and you are following me...so - when you look at my blog - do you see your little icon under my followers? I see 9 people...and none of them are you :( sadness.
When you look at your profile page (or the dashboard of your blog) am I listed under Blogs you are following?
Hey Miranda - glad you see you are back to blogging :) Expect some comments from me soon. Just wondering - would you become a follower of my blog? I know you have commented on it before but I'm not sure if you have been linking through my posts here on LT or if you are a RSS subscriber but not a follower (I can't see people who subscribe - only followers). In any case - would love to have you :)

Hey Miranda,
Thanks for the comments on my blog (redhousebook.blogspot.com)
You answer your question about my "currently reading" feature. LT has a widgets generator - If you're on your home page the link is on the top right. You set the features you want the widget to generate and it creates the HTML code for you to copy.
On my blog, I added a HTML/Java Script gadget and pasted the html code from the LT widget. I generated another widget for the Beloved Books gadget at the bottom of the page as well.
I played around with it a lot until I had it looking the way I wanted - and I've changed it a few times.
Hope that helps! Let me know if you have any other questions or if I can explain it further for you.

Thanks for the comment on my blog :) And actually it's 7 books...I forgot to add Over See, Under Stone. BUT I should be finished up with at least 4 of them by this weekend. I have no idea how I got into this habit but it works for me. I can go a few days or up to a week without reading one particular book but I always remember my place and never get lost in the plot.
I did like A Certain Slant of Light. I thought it was a wonderful telling of a not so typical ghost story. The writing flowed very easily for me and I loved the female ghost Helen! Her name was Helen :)I'm also a sucker for a happy ending - especially if there is a twist.
Check back on my blog later - I should have at least 1 review up. I'm pretty sure it's a book you would have no interest in reading but still :)
You asked about Neal Shusterman's books. My favorite is probably Unwind which I know you have read but right behind it would be Everlost. Everlost is his take on the "afterlife" and is remarkably original for his approach to this oft visited topic. I highly recommend it!

Thank you, Miranda! It was wonderful to get your note. I am so glad you enjoyed The Adoration of Jenna Fox. Thanks for letting me know!
best, Mary
Hello,

I think something to think about is the fact that I am an adult and a librarian as well. Therefore I have my master's and I have studied children's and YA literature for some time. This does not mean that my opinion is more important than yours in anyway, it does mean however that my opinion is coming from a different place than yours. You are more than able to disagree with me in regards to Specials. I, however, felt this book and the ending of Tally's story was frustrating and left me so dissatisfied that I did not even want to read Extra's. Maybe it is not a horrible book, but considering all the great literature out there, it can be shelved indefinitely for all I care. To be honest, I loved Uglies, but started to get annoyed in the middle of Pretties. Chains was absolutely wonderful. It truly hugged at the heart strings. It also got me angry to think about how people were treated as slaves. I wanted more when it ended, but I read the Anderson is not done with these characters, so that leaves me happy. It is a higher level read for content and understanding. I mostly recommend it to extremely emotionally mature students, mainly so they can fully appreciate and grasp the understanding of the novel. The same goes for Identical. It is not an easy book to read. It can make you uncomfortable. But it is extremely powerful, intense, and in my mind, well written. Again, books I normally reserve in recommending to my older, mature students. I thought it was wonderful. If you have any other questions regarding books, please ask. We may not always agree :-) but I love helping students find great books and it is what I went to school for. It will never bother me!
I really enjoyed it. I would recommend it as it is a good story.
I haven't read it yet. But I am intrigued!
Nice. I live on a farm, so I guess all three of my cats would be farm cats.
I hope you enjoy it!! Oh, I love your picture! I have three cats.
I think that the Goose Girl would be good to start with. It is more of our age reading level, like young adult, than some of her other books. There are also two more in that series that are out, Enna Burning and River Secrets, and one that comes out in September.
I liked all of them so I'm not really sure which one is my favorite. I would suggest reading the Song of the Lioness series too. I read the Immortals series first and then the first series. Everything makes a lot more sense when you read the first quartet. Have you read anything by Shannon Hale?
I don't really have a favorite book by her, but my favorite series was the Immortals series. I also like all the other books set in Tortall. I am just starting the Circle of Magic Books. Right now I am starting Tris's Book.
Have you read any other books by Tamora Pierce? If you haven't I would recommend any others. I am also in eighth grade and I love her books.
