Hi Lizzie,

I came across your library -- which I have to say is amazing -- in rather a roundabout way. In a comment you made to somebody (I can’t remember who) I noticed something you said about Brian Moore, whose work I really like even though I haven’t yet entered all his books, and then I noticed Patricia Highsmith in your favourites, and from there I clicked on one your review of The Cry of The Owl, which I read and enjoyed some years ago, and then I saw all the other books you’ve read and reviewed and I just realized that I’m not even a quarter as well-read as I’d like to think.

So I hope you don’t mind if I keep a regular watch on your site. I have a lot to learn!
Hi Lizzie

Thanks so much for leading me to your 'themoorethemerrier' site. I love it ! I keep trying to drag myself away from his books and then capitulating and devouring 'just one more'. He hooked me with 'The Magician's Wife' and now I've literally just finished 'I am Mary Dunne' and your review was spot on. Now I'm dying to see your review of 'The Great Victorian Collection'...

Hi, Lizzy. Nice to find another BGO type here!
Welcome to Books Compared. You write great reviews, and I hope you'll favor us with a comparison review soon. Theodor Storm's Der Schimmelreiter helped me improve my reading skills in German, not least because it's such a wonderful story I couldn't bear to stop struggling my way through the unfamiliar vocabulary. By mid-story, my reading skills were much improved. I've been meaning to read more Storm, and have put Immensee on my to-be-read list.
Hi 'Lizzy' - I guess you are also a fan of the Pre-Raphaelites - haven't checked if you have the recent biog of LS. Anyway, I've just plugged in 99 books and find you have 28 in common, and you are a fellow Folio collector - I'm a lapsed member at the moment but wavering. I've been a member on and off for almost 25 years. Nice to see fellow bookaholics around.
Kind regards
Caroline

Wow. You've read my book. Hope you enjoyed it and I must get on with "Little Mr Poonlop's Second Book"
