Is there a way to swipe wholesale though? I've been assuming you click on a book (let's say, The Wizard of OZ) then you go to the book's page, then you click on add, then it takes you to all the options from Amazon and you select the one that looks like yours. Or, for series (eg the Sharpe books) you go to the author, then look at his series links, go to the series you want, then click on each book you have, again adding them individually and selecting the best fit from the amazon list you are presented with. Is there a quicker way? I really hope there is.

As for ISBNS - that would require actually going and fetching books which ain't going to happen for a loooooooooong time. I can do a hell of a lot by memory, me - there has to be some advantage in having a memory like mine and this is it. (Well, and ability to pass exams). Mind you, the fact that I tend to buy whole series rather than leaving gaps makes that a little bit easier. There are certainly gaps in my A - C listings though, no doubt. I've definitely left out some books by Bear and Brin and Bova, for example, but I'm buggered if I can remember what I own and what I've read from the library. :shrug: I'll fill in the gaps eventually when I actually check the shelves. which means tidying up the playroom/library. :(

It's going to take me forever to actually list the damn things, though. And I'm not even doing it properly as it is - I'm selecting the actual edition I have of some books (sometimes I am changing the cover to match, eg so that my narnia books have the proper Pauline Baines covers) but I'm pretty certain I'm clicking on paperback versions of books I have in hardback because they are the first one that's coming up in the lists from amazon but I just haven't the time to do it properly. Also for loads of the chalet school books I have clicked on the fan club reissues - becuase they are top of the amazon list - when in fact I spent a good 20 years of my life scouring second hand shops for nice 50s Armada paperbacks and hardback first editions!But of course Amazon doesn't list those! I might make an effort with my Peake collection as I have multiple copies of every book - first editions, different paperback editions, different covers etc (my fabourite covers are actually the Alan Lee ones from the mid 80s penguin edition which is sacrilege I know, especially given the amount of money I have spent getting proper Peake cover versions - but there you go. I was obviously an Alan Lee fan from a very very early age!)

At some point I'll have to tackle all the Doctor Who stuff - I'm hoping to be able to nick it wholesale from you or Rob or maybe Lance Parkin.
