Hi Indygardener:

I don't know if you are interested in adding scans of covers for the books you have, but I have recently uploaded covers for several of the books we have in common, including "The Encyclopedia of Organic Gardening", and "The Soil First Aid Manual".

Happy planting,

- Geophile
I have left my review on my blog. Sorry that I was late with it.
Thank you, I will mention Avon gardens at our upcoming herb meeting. By the way, you have inspired me to start a blog!! After looking at yours, I decided that I would like to share my garden also. Hopefully the snow will melt away, and we will soon see some spring bulbs poking their heads out of the ground. I will probably never have a blog as nice as yours,(it took me all morning just to figure out how to do it!!), but I will try to add a few pictures when things start blooming, and keep up with what is happening in my garden. (www.gardeningwithgod.blogspace.com)
The picture of the orchid was awesome, I would like to get to Indy to see it before it is done blooming.
No, I actually started out working in a garden center here in Lafayette, right out of high school. I met my husband there, and 22 years ago we started our own business. I am totally self taught!! I run the landscaping part of our business, and he runs the maintenance side, though I often am roped into helping him with that. I am also a charter member of the local herb society (Hoosier Prairie Herb Society). We meet every other month. Would love any suggestions that you might have of anything herbal in the Indianapolis area, our group is always looking for something new. I also have a greenhouse on my property, and sometimes grow herbs to sell. I guess my passion is really herbal, but I do love flower and vegetable gardening too.
I checked out both sites, very nice!! I probably won't be setting up a blog, I just don't have time right now. I have a landscaping business in Lafayette, and am very involved in that. We clean snow for a few good customers, and I was saddened to see the snow piled 10 foot high on top of landscape beds we installed a few years ago. I didn't have the heart to tell her what that was probably going to do to the roses that are under it,though they are the "Knockout" variety, and very tough, I don't know how they will fare with 10 feet of snow on top of them.
I will try and keep up with the book club, but spring is just around the corner, and our busiest time. I hope to get my garden books entered, before winter is over. I can't bear to part with any garden books either, even though I should, so I know what you mean.
Hi Indygardener,
I am actually your gardening neighbor!! Lafayette, just an hour North of you. We seem to have a lot of the same interests. I garden in the summer, and work on genealogy in the winter. I have just started entering books into LibraryThing. Have hardly tackled my garden books yet, there are so many. I am new to this Blog thing, but will try to figure it out and keep up. I just ordered the February book, and will get it read before the end of the month. Glad to know that there are so many of us out there.
Hi Indygardener,

How do you like [[John Feltwell]] [The Naturalist's Garden]?
Thanks--but I'm still quite a novice at gardening, so I'm hoping for some great book recommendations here. Just finished the Master Gardener course and volunteer work, but I can't bear to call myself a Master Gardener; what a ridiculous name unless you've gardened for years and years!
Glad to see you've joined. Once you get the hang of things, perhaps you'll consider starting a Garden Bloggers Book Club group.
